If you were born in the 1950's - you're living in the fifties (maybe pushing 60's!)...This blog is created for the purpose of sharing the journey! It's a new season, a new stage in life, and we need to learn to trust the Lord and hang on for the ride!
There will be a variety of content in different categories. Maintaining our health, managing our time wisely, project ideas, recipes, and lots more. One of the things I've been learning to do more is LAUGH! Some things at this stage are just plain funny, and we need to learn to laugh at ourselves and some of the silly things we do. We also need to be more serious in some matters, as we have a responsibility to pass on what we have learned over the years to the next generation.
While this blog is about being in the 50's, I hope its appeal will cross age limitations. Perhaps those of you in the younger generation will glean some information that will help you live more effectively now or prepare you for what is to come. Maybe those older and wiser than I am will reminisce the 50's as being "the good old days" or offer some tips from their reflective view.
"You're as young as you feel" we have heard. In that case, there are days I'm 20 and days I'm 80! Aging is a natural process. It reminds us of a life that's been lived and a hope for the future. We aren't here forever and there is coming a day we'll have new bodies to replace the ones that are wearing out. We'll have laughter instead of tears and sight instead of faith.
So come on..."grow old with me; the best is yet to be"!!
